Swollen Finger Grass is a weed that spread on many of the offshore islands. They are usually found in disturbed dry areas and occur in small tufts. They often replace areas where native plants could grow. Swollen fingergrass have seeds that are shaped like a saw that stick to clothing and therefore can be easily spread.
