This fish has the remarkable ability to leap from tidepool to tidepool.

Description • The zebra blenny has an elongated , scaleless body with large rounded head, high-set eyes, and low-set, broad mouth. The zebra blenny reaches 6 inches (15 cm) in length and body color varies from bluish-black to yellowish brown with dark vertical bars on the sides of the body. The female leaves, but the male remains to tend and guard the eggs which hatch in about a week.

Habitat •
A zebra blenny's habitat istidepools, and the Hawiian Islands. It lives in pools or above the high tide line usually along shores with basalt rocks.

Diet •
The zebra blenny eats alge and short sea weed. It scrapes the rocks with its fine, comb-like teeth and eats live coral.
