Description • The glass anemone is tree-like with tentacles. They are usually colored light green brown to a dark brown, however in dark locations they are translucent. They grow up to 3inches in height. In well protected environments they can reproduce rapidly by detaching tiny bits of tissue from the foot that soon become miniature anenomes or through live birth ejecting fully formed young from their mouth.

Habitat • In the reef the glass anenome usually remains hidden in crevices with only the tentacles showing. This species is abundant in the Hawaiian islands.

Diet •. Anenomes feed on bottom-dwelling or planktonic organisms.
