Description The Moano is the most color changing of the species and it occurs quickly. Resting coloration may vary from active colors. The beard like stems below their mouth are called barbels which extend when they are searching for food. They grow to 11" in length and have two dorsal fins. l Habitat The goatfish swims close to the bottom of tropical salty waters. Usually found in coral reefs or close to the sandy bottom. Diet .The goatfish barbels have sensory organs to search for food on the ocean floor in search of crustaceans, molluscs and small fish.
