Limu Kala or Brown Ear Seaweed
Sargassum Echinocarpum

Description • Limu Kala grows between 10-20 inches long. There are alot of leaves that grow from the stalk which are between one to four inches long and about half an inch wide. The brownish green blades are usually spiny but some are smooth.

Habitat • Limu Kala is found throughout the tropical aresas of the world in near-shore waters where beds often occur near coral reefs. The plants grow subtiddaly and they attach to coral, rocks or shells and sometimes can be found floating on the ocean surface.
