Description • A Bluestriped Snapper has a yellow body and four horizontal stripes, this color pattern makes it easy to be identified. and grows to approximately 10 inches. It has a large mouth and enlarged teeth.

Habitat •
Bluestriped snappers are found in shallow to very deep waters. They occur in large schools when in moderately deep water around the Hawaiian islands. They were introduced to Hawaii in 1958.

Diet •
Bluestriped snappers feed on crab, shrimps, small fishes and like to eat at night.
