Description • Stingrays have a flattened body shape with wing like side fins that propel them through the water. Their body can grow to about 3 feet in length with a the tail that is twice as long as their body. About a third of the way down is one or more venomous spines. Their mouth is on the underside of their body and their face is on the top.

Habitat •
Found on sandy or muddy bottoms in all warm shallow parts of the oceans and bays.

Diet •
The stingray feeds on small crutaceans, fish and cephalopods.
