Pavillions, BBQ & Picnic Areas and Walkways
Within the 30 acre beach park there are Three covered open air pavillions. Also scattered through the park along the walkways are picnic tables and barbeque pits. There is also a bike path that goes through the park grounds.

Boat Ramp
A public boat ramp located on the on southern end of Kailua Beach can handle boats under 20 feet however it also depends on the tides.

 

 

Canoe Hale
The Kailua Beach Park Canoe Halau is a beachfront facility to store 36 Hawaiian racing canoes for various windward Oahu canoe clubs. The design consists of two smaller building each accomodating 18 canoes that are connected by a wood trellised lanai area for rigging the canoes.

Parking
There are three sepearte parking areas for Kailua Beach Park. A small lot on the southern end is next to the boat ramp. The middle lot is larger and next to the Canoe Halau and a third on the southern end is next to the Concession stand.

 

Handicap Access
Handicap access is located at the northern end of Kailua Beach Park near the concession stand. An all terrain wheelchair is available seven days a week from 10am to 5pm through the Department of Parks and Recreation free of charge. Rubberized "Beach Mats" provide a smooth trail to the shoreline

Restroom & Shower Facilities
The three restroom and shower facilities are each next to the parking lots within Kailua Beach Park. Showers are just outside of the restroom building.

 

Trash & Recycling Bins
Trash receptacles and recycling bins are located throughout the beach park and are emptied regularly by the City and County Parks Department. Please help us keep our beaches clean by properly disposing of trash.
