Litter
Kailua beach is beautiful! And although there are several trash receptacles there are still people who don't use them to dispose of their trash. Please help us keep our shores and waters clean.

Beach Closure
Kailua Beach Park is closed to water activities when heavy rains bring polluted run off via Ka'elepulu Stream in the bay. The Department of Health posts warning signs to let beachgoers know that the water is unsafe. The signs remain posted until the water is safe again for swimming.

Water Activity Areas
There is a wide variety of recreational water sports that take place in Kailua Bay and currently there aren't any designated areas that can protect swimmers from being hit by oncoming water equipment. Always be aware of the activities that are around you.
